What this website collects, why, and what we do with it.
The Greater South Jersey Chorus is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. This page explains what information this website collects, why, and what we do with it. It is written to be read, not to cover every eventuality. If you have a question it does not answer, email contact@greatersjchorus.org.
What we collect, and why
When you fill in a form. Our contact, stay-in-touch, feedback, and program-book artwork forms ask for your name and email address, and sometimes a phone number, a message, or a file you choose to upload. We use it to answer you, to do what you asked, and — only if you check the box — to send you our newsletter. Chorus officers review submissions, which we keep for twelve months and then delete automatically.
When you buy a ticket or donate. Tickets and donations are handled by Zeffy, a fundraising platform for nonprofits, through forms embedded on our pages. Your payment details go to Zeffy, not to this website, and are covered by Zeffy’s privacy policy. Zeffy issues your tickets and tax receipt, and tells us who bought or gave so we can say thank you. Our newsletter list also lives in Zeffy.
When you simply visit. We use Google Analytics to see which pages are read and how people find us — counts and trends, not individuals — and Google reCAPTCHA on our forms to keep out spam. Both set cookies and are governed by Google’s privacy policy. Our web host keeps ordinary server logs (the address a request came from, the page asked for, the time) for security and troubleshooting.
Embedded content. Some pages may embed videos from YouTube, Google Calendar, and Google Drive folders. These load from Google’s servers and may set their own cookies; our YouTube embeds use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode, which sets none until you press play.
Social media advertising. We sometimes advertise concerts on Facebook and Instagram. When we do, this site may include the Meta pixel, which lets Meta tell us whether an ad led to a visit and show our ads to people who have been here before. Meta’s use of that data is described in Meta’s privacy policy, and you can control ad personalisation in your Facebook or Instagram settings.
Photographs and recordings
We photograph and record our concerts and rehearsals and use the results on this website, on YouTube and on our social media. Chorus members sign a release when they join. A sign at the door tells audience members that a performance may be recorded, and coming in is taken as agreement to appear incidentally in the audience. If you appear in a photograph and would rather not, email us and we will take it down.
What we don’t do
- We do not sell, rent or trade your information to anyone.
- We do not share it except with the services named above, which need it to do their part.
- We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
- This website has no visitor accounts and no comments; it keeps no profile of you.
Your choices
Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link. You can ask us at any time what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it — email contact@greatersjchorus.org and we will reply within a few days. You can block or clear cookies in your browser; the site works without them, apart from the embedded ticket and video players.

This website, its backups and the services named above are hosted in the United States.
